Many other Houston area roofers simply drop laborers off at your home and check back at the end of the project. There is no on-site project manager. Most of the time, the “roofers” aren’t screened or certified, either.
So, you’re taking a risk that the roofers (who often have no supervision) will perform good work and respect you and your home.
Well, this simply isn’t how things work at Blue Truss Roofing.
We use full-time W2 project managers who remain on-site throughout your entire roofing project. And at least 70% of our installers are manufacturer-certified, so you can trust that they know their stuff and perform great work.

When you choose Blue Truss, you’re assigned a project manager at the very start. They’re the ones who show up for your consultation, and they’re the ones who assist you throughout your entire roofing project.
Specifically, your project manager will:
On and on the list goes. Our project managers are absolute roofing rockstars, and they make sure you have an incredible roofing experience.
And their W-2 status means that they’re not pulled in a million different directions like many subcontractors. Instead, we control where they are each day. And, as a company, we ensure they’re never overworked, and they always have time to assist you and answer your questions during your roofing project.
We put our project managers through an extensive training process. This ensures YOUR project manager is 100% ready, no matter which one of our project managers you’re assigned.
The training process takes 30-60 days in most cases. If necessary, we’ll extend training even longer. Here are some of the key inclusions of our internal training program for our new project managers:
Our new project managers aren’t in charge of anything for at least 60 days. Instead, they work alongside the Blue Truss owner, Jason Howanec, or one of our seasoned project managers. That way, they truly learn the ropes BEFORE they’re ever on their own.
In fact, the first 10 projects they oversee are with the owner or another project manager. This process typically takes around 60 days.
Suppose the new project manager hasn’t completed 10 projects at the end of their 60-day training period. In that case, we decide whether they need additional training or if they’ve shown enough ability to lead their own projects.
We’re GAF Master Elite and CertainTeed Select Shingle Master Certified. These are the best of the best certifications in the roofing industry that only 1% of Houston roofers obtain.
To maintain this status, our installers must be certified with GAF and CertainTeed… and they are. At least 70% of our installers have gone through certifications from the manufacturer. The other 30%? They’re in the process of obtaining those certifications as well.
So, along with our knowledgeable project managers, all our installers also know their stuff.
